Just in case you got some DNxHD files and want to import DNxHD to Final Cut Pro for editing, you probably would meet some troubles like choke, white screen, no audio, etc. Although FCP plays well with many different codecs, obviously DNxHD is not completely native to FCP. To solve the issue, a quick workaround is to convert DNxHD to ProRes for Final Cut Pro. Read this article and you will learn a fast DNxHD to ProRes lossless conversion.
Generally, FCP X does support DNxHD if it is rewrapped as QT/MOV and if the Avid QuickTime Codecs LT plug-in is installed. If you didn't install the plug-in correctly or got some DNxHD MXF files, a better solution is to transcode DNxHD to ProRes.
