The Sony Handycam HDR-PJ790V is new. It won best camcorder at Consumer Electronics Show. Have you got one yet for full HD movie recording?
Just got my new Sony PJ790V. According to the Sony site, this camcorder allows me to record in either AVCHD or MP4. Both are HD content, correct? But the MP4 is easier to edit, I hear. Will I be able to import HD content into my iMAC and work with it in iMovie? If 1080-60p is not good and what about 60i?
We noticed some newbies of Sony HDR-PJ790V are puzzled if the PJ790V footages are compatible with iMovie like the above quoted words mentioned. Here we offer the definite answer for you.
Sony HDR-PJ790V Video Mode:

Well, 1080 60i AVCHD will work in iMovie from this Sony HDR-PJ790V and 1080 60P will work in Final Cut Pro X. AVCHD will be higher quality than MP4.
