I am having a TON of trouble importing m2ts files into Avid Media composer. The footage was shot on a Sony HXR-MC50U Digital HD Camera. The files have been saved to an external Hard drive using the cameras suggested software.."PMB" The PMB software offers the option to convert to MPEG-2 and WMV files. I tried the MPEG-2 conversion but when I tried to import it into Avid I got the notice that the format was not supported. Any idea? Thanks!!!
The Sony HXR-MC50U Ultra Compact Pro AVCHD Camcorder, much like the consumer equivalent HDR-CX550V, captures 1920 x 1080 video at the full 24Mbps bit rate possible in the AVCHD format. That means smooth, high-resolution HD video that captures every detail recorded through the camera's 10x wide-angle zoom lens. While, when you get the M2TS files from it, ever get frustrated when handle the MTS/M2TS files like importing Sony HXR-MC50U M2TS into Avid MC?
