What if nanoFlash .MOV files won't open in Premiere Pro

The nanoFlash is now a very popular tapeless recording addition for any camera with an HD-SDI out. The reason for it becoming so popular is that it can record a number of different formats which broadcasters approve of (basically anything that can record a 50Mbit + data stream). The nanoFlash itself can record MPEG2, Quicktime and MXF upto bit rates of 280Mbps, providing near-universal NLE support. Nevertheless, while importing nanoFlash .mov recordings to Premiere Pro, problems arise.

Q1: Premiere CS6 won't import nanoflash .mov

I'm recording .mov files using a nanoFlash recorder, but Premiere CS6 won't import the files, complaining that "Codec missing or unavailable." What should I do to correct this? Thanks

Q2: nanoFlash .mov to PP CC, missing codec error

I'm running PP CC on a Mac, and mov nanoFlash clips will not open, missing codec errors.

In fact, if using Adobe Premiere Pro (version CS5, CS6, CC7) for your editing work, the best choice is to set the NanoFlash recording format to MXF format. Premiere doesn't supports XDCAM wrapped in Quicktime. If you have to work nanoFlash MOV in Premiere Pro, based on our experience, there are two solutions:

Solution 1: Full CODEC support in Adobe requires the Main Concept Plugin. You can try to install the plugin, things could go well.

Solution 2: Alternatively, if you do not want or can not get a plugin installed, you will need a program to read the nanoFlash MOV files and re-wrap/transcode nanoFlash MOV to Premiere Pro most compatible video. Brorsoft Video Converter Mac is highly recommended here to help you accomplish the goal.
