How to Enable VLC Media Player to Play Blu-ray movies
VLC media player is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg...) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols. First and easiest, upgrade VLC Media Player to recent version
As far as we know, since the VLC Media Player 2.0.1 released, it's with improved Blu-ray discs playback. It comes with multiple fixes for Bluray discs playback with VLC.
Second solution: You'll need two files: keys database and AACS dynamic library.
Keys database: get the file
Windows: put it in %APPDATA%/aacs/ . How to find where %appdata% dir is?
Mac OS: put it in ~/.config/aacs/
Linux: put it in ~/.config/aacs/
AACS dynamic library
Windows 32bit: put that file in your VLC directory
Mac OS: right-click on VLC, choose "Show package contents" and put that file in Contents/MacOS/lib directory
Linux 32bit: put that file in VLC folder (or in LD_LIBRARY_PATH, usually /usr/lib/)
Linux 64bit: put that file in VLC folder (or in LD_LIBRARY_PATH, usually /usr/lib64/)

How to Compress Blu-ray movies to VLC playable video
Step 1. Import Blu-ray movies
Insert the Blu-ray disc to external Blu-ray drive and click the "Load Disc" button to add the Blu-ray movies you want to play on your VLC. Select subtitles you want keep with the output video from the option.
Step 2. Choose output profile
Choose output format via clicking the Format bar. Here you can select MPEG-4, MPEG-2, MKV from the Common Video profile list as the target format.
Tip: You can also check the "Settings" box , and set video codec, video size, Bitrate, frame rate to get a decent video you want on your VLC player.
