Transcode Sony NEX-VG10 AVCHD to FCP 7 on Mac without quality loss

The Sony NEX-VG10 is a large-sensor, interchangeable-lens HD camcorder. It can also stand-in for a 14MP DSLR for still shots. The NEX-VG10 shoots 1920-by-1080 AVCHD video at 60 interlaced fields per second (you're fixed at that 60i frame rate), and its maximum bit rate for video capture is 24 mbps.
