As it claimed Corel VideoStudio can support MOV format although, you may have a painful experience when using iPhone video in Corel VideoStudio like no picture, video preview lag or even won't work:
"Hey guys, my VideoStudio Pro X10 doesn't seem to like particularly videos shot with my iPhone 7 Plus. I can load the H.264 iPhone videos in my timeline but on the timeline the videos just display as full black. When I play them back I can hear the sound, but there is never any picture."
Now in this article, we'd like to show you the solutions to play, edit iPhone videos in Corel VideoStudio smoothly.
The basic reason why iPhone videos not working in VideoStudio is that the output videos from iPhone is encoded with H.264 or H.265(iPhone 7/iPhone 8 on iOS 11) codec. Actually, Corel VideoStudio can't open H.264 or H.265 files perfectly. The process is painfully slow. So how to get around this? It would be to convert iPhone videos to a lossless format that is easier to edit for Corel VideoStudio. I used Brorsoft Video Converter to encode all of my iPhone videos to MPEG-2 for using in VideoStudio.
