Convert and Import Sony FDR-AX700 XAVC S to Avid Media Composer

Step 1: Load XAVC S files to program

Launch the XAVC S converter program and click the "Add" button to load Sony AX700 XAVC S .mp4 files for converting.

Step 2: Choose output format

Click the "Format" bar and select the target format.

A. For editing XAVC S video in Final Cut Pro, please choose Final Cut Pro > Apple PreRes 422(*.mov) as output format.

B. For importing XAVC S to Avid, please choose Avid Media Composer > Avid DNxHD(*.mov) as output format.

C. As for using XAVC S in Adobe Premiere Pro, you can select Adobe Premiere/Sony Vegas> MPEG-2(*.mpg) as the best video format.

Step 3 (optional): Adjust the video, audio settings

Click "Settings" to set video resolution (3840x2160/1920x1080/1440x1080/1280x720/720x480), bitrate(from 1Mbps to 20Mbps), frame rate (24fps/30fps/60fps) as you like. To crop, trim, add effects to XAVC S video, click "Edit" menu.

Step 4: Start XAVC S video conversion

Simply click the "Convert" button to start converting and everything else will be automated.

When the conversion is done, you can import the converted Sony FDR-AX700 XAVC S recordings to Final Cut Pro/Avid Media Composer/Premiere Pro without any trouble.
