Apple Compressor Common Issues:

Custom Settings in Compressor- In FCPX, I am unable to add a custom Compressor 4.07 destination. I can choose a preset compressor setting, but any that I have created in Compressor as a custom setting do not appear.

FCP/Compressor MXF Export Problem- I had a file that was Pro Less 422 29.97 Progressive. I need it to be MXF 422 XDCAM. I first put the file straight into compressor and applied the appropriate MXF preset and when I imported it into FCP to check it had no audio. So I then placed the original into a FCP project and shared it out with the proper MXF setting. Still no audio on final.

Compressor won't open- I've been using a certain camera the creates files similar to Go Pro's files. They are Cineform files. I use to open them for viewing with QT7 and edit them in FCPX but all of a sudden QT7 won't open, the current Compressor won't open and now i just noticed final cut pro 7 won't ether.

...

So, not matter whatever issues you encountered, Brorsoft Video Converter for Mac would be the best alternative to Compressor to get all of the problem resolved efficiently.
